Students in French high school will study Bitcoin and Crypto

France is about to add a Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrencies educational program to its high school curriculum.
The French Ministry of National Education modified its study plan to incorporate the largest cryptocurrency in the world in June. French educators will also teach an introductory course to help students understand the impact Bitcoin has on French and global economies.
The ministry also provided teachers with three educational explainer videos such as “Is Bitcoin the currency of the future?”, “Can Bitcoin replace the Euro?” and “Do you have trust in your currency?”
Students will be expected to equate Bitcoin with fiat currencies, which will eventually lead to basic knowledge of Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and their role in the traditional financial environment, according to the ministry’s outline.
Because Bitcoin is just an introductory course, students are not expected to leave the classroom as full-fledged experts in cryptography. Nevertheless, teaching young students more information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies’ ins-and-outs will lead or may help to widespread adoption.
