Coinbase Looking to Add Support for Telegram and 16 Other Digital Assets

Coinbase announced on September 19 that they are looking to add a range of new assets on their exchange and wallet.

Coinbase also intends to explore assets that may have not yet launched and which they may choose to support in the future.

Currencies that will be added are:

Telegram is one example. They have recently released their Telegram Open Network (TON) testnet explorer and node software on their website. However, TON team has not yet distributed their network’s native token. GRAM which the native token is planned to be distributed two months from now.

Moreover, Coinbase also emphasized that new tokens may not come online everywhere at the same time due to the legal requirements of each jurisdiction. The blog post explained:

“We therefore cannot guarantee whether or when any above-listed asset will be listed on a Coinbase product in any jurisdiction. As per our listing process, we will add new assets on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis, subject to applicable review and authorizations.”
